Dan McCaw of The Cowboy Angels recently listened to our first album and wrote the following.
Excellent. Gutsy, unapologetic. A complete "f*** you" to the established juvenile timid hip hop infused pathetic excuse for rock n roll. Fantastic songs with some tasty production without being overproduced. Phil's songs and vocals are spot on and sincere. The combination of 80's ratty lead guitar tones, punk style simple drums, and solid rhythm section make this one of the best rock-n-roll albums produced in recent years. You will finds tones reminiscent of The Cars and Green Day, but the sound is truly the Custodians. A mash up of rock n roll, punk, 80's power ballads, and simply great songwriting. Fun, powerful, and totally against the grain of the modern rock emo bullshit that is being produced for 14 year olds. An album for adults and kids alike who are interested in something fresh and clean, fun, exciting and thought provoking. I'm sure Clean Phil would have it no other way. I couldn't have been more impressed with the first studio album produced by these boys from Maine. |
